Cadillac Converj aka ELR

I just spotted my first one last week. I had no idea they were even out yet.

It’s sad too because they do look real nice.

Buddy’s neighbor in Long Island has one, saw it up close last week, nice to look at but that’s about it.

called it

I see quite a few Volts on the road though and they are CHEAP second-hand.

Would have sold well as a $60k sticker but hard to justify $40k premium over a Volt with different sheet metal and interior. My favorite comment was someone calling it the electronic cimarron.

However, this powertrain however has proved to be fairly reliable, and I like the styling on these. In a couple years when these are 25% of their MSRP they might be interesting to look at. This year they are upping the output too.

There will be more than a couple coming off lease. I wonder if the output bump would just be a reflash.

Probably kill your range but since a lot of the torque is only electronically limited, it could be enough to be entertaining.

The standard feature list on these cars is pretty thick, too.

I’m so old, I had to look it up to see what the hell it was when I saw one.
In person, it looked pretty good.

When I found out it was a very expensive volt, I was dissapointed. An AWD turbo 6, would have been sweet.
Someone should build one. Rip out the tree hugger, and replace it with schweaty ball treats

I went pussy and bought a Volt since I was driving 90 miles a day…wish I would have waited though because I could get a slightly used ELR for the same price now…they look soo much nicer and have a much better interior.

I will say, the Volt is a nice ride and a perfect DD…they truly did a nice job with the powertrain…

@Clean_Baldy loves his Volt too. Maybe this is a viable upgrade when it’s time to replace the Volt.

Hell yes. I have zero regrets. Even my pocket book loves me. My lease ends next summer and I may just have to go into the 2016 version Volt 2.0… it’s that nice…

I owe it to myself to learn a bit on these electric cars…

I see pre-production Volt 2s driving around here. I really like them. There are a lot of naysayers with the Volt but they’re impressive cars to drive. The drivetrain is complex but that is imperceptible to the driver.
