Does anyone know what’s the best place to get an sr20 powered 240 tuned in Calgary? Just basic air/fuel tuning.
Is an air/fuel gauge and an apexi safc2 enough to do such a thing?
I don’t have a clue how to use the safc2, and I don’t want to blow anything up
I was thinking autodream, but was just wondering if theres somewhere else I don’t know about?
The basic Air/fuel gauge may not be precise enough for some good tuning. A wide-band would be nice too. But then again, if you get it tuned at a place with a dyno, they should have the wide band capabilities already there for you.
The only place I know of in Calgary is Reg Riemers place, can’t remember the name. RCTS or something like that.
I’m actually about to do the exact same thing man. I’ve got some contacts off of BEYOND from someone who I’m about ot contact.
I need to retune mine for this new altitude.
I’m not that comfortable tuning my own SAFCII quite yet either, even though I have wideband in my car.
But a true DYNO tuner should have a wideband you can use. THey may charge a little for its use. But if they dont’ have one, keep lookin.
Anyhow, why don’t you PM me your contact info. We should have a chat. Maybe we can set up back to back appointments and we can both learn a thing or two?
Yeah I’d definitely be looking at getting it done well, so If I have to take it somehere with a dyno and pay $150/hr I’m fine with that. I just want it to run a little less rich, the whole blue flame out the exhaust thing is only cool the first couple times
Stephen I’d definitely be down with setting up a back to back appointment, it will have to be in spring when I bust out the 240 again though.
ah ok cool… I thought you were ready to go now. I’m going to need a whole otehr DYNO in the spring. Just bought a new t3/t4oe turbo and have full internals on the way.
Should be able to break the 350 mark this spring.
But link me up anytime anyhow. I need to go for a DYNO soon, so if you want to just tag along for mine no problem.
I’m currently running the GT2871R. But it’s conditionally sold right now. I’m swapping it for a t3/t4oe. The GT28 spools amazingly fast but is not big enough for my future plans.
I believe they use Reg’s dyno. RCTS or Alvin’s are good places to start. Stop by Alvin’s to see a beautiful S14SR powered sleeper. Runs just like stock, does 11.2 on street tires.
are you sure? street tires at 11.2? their sr s13 was the quickest at high 12s.[/quote]
positive. done at mission bc race track. Al found the slicks were too hard on the drivetrain. And street tires with low pressure were just fine.
