California Car vs, Road Trip! ***56k, Piss off, lots of pics!!***

Is dial up even an option anymore? LoL

So did the california car or the road trip win?

 i had a blast coming home from SLC

Great pics, great trip - also gorgeous car…

Actually we left Tuesday night at 8pm. I’ll have to look at my bank statement for the cost of gas, I hate receipts. I’m going to a meet in PA Sunday so I should have plenty of quality pics from that taken by a friend.

AS far as the road trip or the car, well the road trip wouldn’t have been as much fun without the car!

Only thing I plan on switching out is the suspension and wheels down the line. The car handles really well and doesn’t ride to harsh so it will do for now. Also will be adding a roll bar. I really just want to enjoy the car for now.

Again, thanks for all the compliments.

ya wow that threw me all off im shot…lol…

I think I need to get my next car from CA because I’ve always wanted to drive cross country but hated the idea of driving there and back.

 to a cool trip and what looks like a very fun Miata.

Oh God I’m so jealous. Any plans for track time in this?

Very cool car, pictures of the trip look great as well.

If the trip was fun, then it’s probably worth it. I just wonder if it would have been cheaper to ship the car.

Pics are blocked at work, but sounds awesome! I’ll check it out later.

Cool trip, thanks for sharing

most interesting buy of the year so far

was always really easy to make jokes about miatas in the past but over the past few years ive grown to think theyre pretty awesome - nice pick up

maybe i’m just getting gayer :gay2:

It’s definitely a sweet car

What did you end up having to do about the tune on the car?

when we got it it was still pig rich in boost, i leaned it out a little, while we had to tune for normal gas. then after we got into the e85 states i leaned it out alot more, and it woke right up… the timing looks like a weak na map, im going to work on that a bit too evetually. first off we gotta switch it back to pass here then toss ms2 back in and ill get back on the spark and fuel maps again… i have to adjust the pot for the knock sensor and turn that back on, im trying to get him to buy the mac valve for boost control, and the fuel sensor for flex fuel, then he should be good to go for a while…i might make him change the map sensor too , but i have to see which one its running right now… the car was a blast to drive even on the boost it has now…

I love driving across this country so much. Bringing home a turbo miata, all the more reason.

Probably cheaper to ship, but that takes all the heart out of it.

Cross country road trips in a car you just bought are awesome.

X…

Never got around to taking picctures without the blue tape until yesterday, and now I’m getting around to posting them. A few of you had asked so here they are.

Just washed it

And moved it in a spot where I wasn’t facing the sun when taking the pics.

And topless

Looks great

thanks!
