Feeler: 2000 Turbo Miata ls

I’ll be buying a house this summer and want to get back into one car as I will also be getting a bike this summer. A miata just isn’t practical for a dd right now. I bought this car last april and drove it home from Sacramento California. This car has never seen a winter and is 99% rust free.

Motor now has about 10-15k miles on it. The milage on the car itself is 72,317 miles. There are less miles on the turbo than on the motor. Currently the car is at 16psi making around 285whp, at 18psi it puts down around 307-310whp on e85. The timing on the e85 tune is rather conservative right now and can be tweaked a bit adding more power. The car is currently set with the 93 octane tune for sitting over the winter. The car runs really well, and idles better than stock. Except with ac on*** At stops it does want to nearly die on you but if you feather the gas a little it won’t stutter. This is only at idle with the ac on. If you’r cruising with ac on and toss it in neutral foot off the gas the needle will sit at idle and not move, just as if the car was sitting still and ac off. There is a fix for this that can be found on the miata forums. It didn’t really bother me that much to look into it.

This car really is an absolute joy to drive and I hate to let it go…

Here is the mod list as it was when I bought the car.

The car now has Bridgestone Potenza RE-11’s that came off the car I had before this. They have at least 50-60% tread left. I also put in a brand new FM Level 2 clutch in June when I had to replace the trans. It is good for 353hp.

The bad:
Paint isn’t perfect, there is some chipping at the top of the drivers door. I believe it was due to poor prep from whoever painted it. It is not noticeable unless pointed out but should be looked into.

The car also has a minor coolant leak coming from the coolant re-rout. When I bought the car it came with an - ebay coolant re-rout that was way to difficult to get at with the motor in the car. It leaked like a mother fucker so I went with a M-Tuned coolant re-route kit that I purchased from Flyin’ Miata. I thought it solved the issue but put the car away soon after. The leak is nowhere near what is was before but I did notice some drips when I went to start the car last time. I’m sure it’s just not sealing properly.

You have to convert it back to na for emissions inspection. All the parts needed to do this will be included. I’m willing to help you convert it to stock and back to turbo again for the first time you get the car inspected. I know my way around the car, doesn’t take to long at all.

Extra parts:
I have a mazdaspeed miata rear end and axles sitting in my shed. I had purchased them for 1k that I will work into the price. I believe they had 20-30k miles on them so they are relatively new.

I also have a greddy turbo timer I was to lazy to install, I’ll toss that in as I will never use it. I always had let the car run a bit before I shut it down.

Price:
I bought the car last year for a little under 10k, I’m looking to get 9k for it.

I don’t have to sell the car right now and was actually looking to drive it till I get my own place. I’ll let it go sooner for my asking price, if not I’ll drive it when the salt clears.

Interior shots. The fake roll bar is not included as these are the pics the previous owner took and that did not come with the car. It is gay anyways and you wouldn’t want it. I’ll have more inside pics tomorrow but it looks the same as I didn’t change a thing.

I would love it but i no he wont trade me for my civic and i feel like a dick finally after asking everyone who posts a car i want

damn this thing is sexy GLWS

Thanks guys.

Only trade would be a 04 to 06 330ci with the 6speed. After I sell this car I’ll pull the trigger on one. Also will be getting rid of my 328i after the miata is gone.

I’m really happy that the NYSpeed bike crew is slowly getting back together.

do you have any interior shots?

forwarded to a friend who i think should buy this…hopefully i can convince him

I’ll be a new rider this year and looking forward to it.

Thanks again guys for all the compliments.

I need to get my priorities straight. I was having second thoughts when I was making this thread, hate to let this car go. I’m going on 27 and still living at home…

I’ll get the milage on my way to work, the car is currently in a friends garage.
