Feeler: 2000 Turbo Miata ls

bump for Bryan, went to a meet with him in this…my only complaint was I didn’t put sunscreen on my face/forehead - then had a burnt face the whole next week!

Seriously, the car is awesome and grabs attention wherever you go.

That’s 18PSIs old car right? I always loved the way it looked and its a pretty solid setup under the hood. I’m currently building up my 10AE and know how much it costs to do what you have there. This will be a true bargain for the new owner, it would cost way more than $9k to duplicate that car.

:updated first post with actual milage.

Thanks Kyle

That is correct, I will be posting this on Miataturbo.net in a few. Thanks

Sold :frowning:

Did it go local?

Spotted the new owner driving on the 290 with blue painters tape on the nose.

Near Pittsburgh

Nice, yeah he mentioned he was going to tape it up.

Car looked great, glad it sold for you.

=( hope she went to a good home.

Thanks and thanks.

I think she did, new owner use to own a supercharged miata and now has a white 99 and my 2000.

Cool I’ll have to keep a lookout for it.

Way to sell the only thing sweet that you had. lol Hopefully you get your hands on something you find fun. But remember, no more putting th top down. buahahaha.

Shush lol, I didn’t want to sell it and felt like a dick and backed out but he then offered me more. I’m getting a 330ci next to keep me happy for a few years, a house this summer and a bike as well. I think I’ll be alright.

Bumping this only for questions :snky:

How much of a pain was it to pass inspections?

Wasn’t too bad once I figured out what I was doing. Never really understood how a turbo car worked until I took that car and put it back to stock myself. It really depends on the setup tho, hardest part for me was getting at a couple screws on the compressor housing because it had to be removed to get the turbo out. But putting it all back together from stock including injectors I wanna say it took me three to four hours. I also remember plugging the mega squirt back in was quite the pita due to location.

Mine passed inspection with no check engine light.

OBDII ughhh.

^What kit are you looking at? Or are you piecing one together? Full standalone I hope?

I’m looking at the BEGi Shanghai Kit but swapping out the turbo for a used Garrett. FM would be nice, but I’m basing my budget off my income tax return. This probably won’t be purchased until next winter when I have my house.
