LOL…Adam give me a price, except I need a “working” rollbar. :wow:wow:rofl:rofl
I’m 50/50 on that whole thing. I like the design concept of the vehicle, and how they use 85% of the entire bike in back to simplify things in assembly, but in the other hand I think it’s kinda crude in other areas.
I have never seen this before. Who makes it?
I will have a rolling prototype that will be somewhat similar early next year to be ready for preorder, except it’s got four wheels :rofl. About 15-17K, complete minus donor motor/related electrical(your choice, frame built to suit)
I could build above for about 15K, being that it’s a one-off. It may look simple, but there’s still alot of work that goes into it. Kick the bodywork, and I could knock 3-4K off that price.
Oh look, a gsxr. I just sold one of those you could have used to build it.
Are you serious? Build me one, ill give you a deposit tommorow! lol
Those fucking t rex’s which dont even look as good are like high 20’s to low 30’s of thousands of dollars… USED.
I’m 100% serious.
So for around $11k without the great bodywork craftsmenship, what can I expect? Im always down for something unique.

It’s a kit car…umm bike. I think 3 wheels you can still register it as a bike and road legal, no?
Second picture. Will require a little more to get it road legal though, which can be discussed as well. If you’re serious and want to talk more I will PM you the number to call me at.
I figured it was Italian as it’s got Alfa Romeo all over it. G-damn French :lol
State dependent really. It may be possible, but it all depends on how it’s classed via the MSO(manufactures certificate of origin). If they class it like the Spyder(bike), then yes. If it’s classed as a kit CAR, not a chance. Due to it’s design nature I’d take a stab and say they DO class it as a bike.
Yeah I have been thinking of this for ever too.
I want to get a wrecked but running liter bike. Use the VIN and drivetrain and make a 2 seater “car”. long travel suspension, caged, good breaks, lights horn, blinkers, mirrors, everything. and try to register it as the bike! lol
But I found out the law is you can only modify a motorcycle and add a single wheel to it and still register it as the bike. AKA a trike. So there goes my road legal sand rail idea. So i guess this one can squeek by becasue its a 3 wheeler.
I could always make it with a swingarm out back, with a single drive wheel, limp it to the inspection station, get it registered, and inspected, then remove the single wheel and bolt the 2 rear wheels back on! HUMMMM??!?!?!
There’s alot more to it here in the states and doing above idea would get you into some trouble real quick. It must be issued an SCV VIN by VSTS, and doing so requires alot of work. Believe me if it was that easy I would have had my kits cars out roaming the roads four years ago.
Doing so technically still requires VSTS intervention, and a specialty construction vehicle VIN for it to be legal. It’s more of a loophole effect really, and how the T-Rex is registerable but it’s not legal in all states.
The VSTS techs are not dodo’s and they’d catch this. No doubt. They’re the final line between you getting the sweet yellow VIN sticker and 272.1(which allows you to get VS103 for reg eligibility). If you attempted to pull this they can flag the entire project and it would result in HUGE headaches for you EVER getting an SCV legalized. Plus it would raise some serious eyebrows if you were pulled over in a four wheel vehicle reg’ed as a bike or trike. Cops don’t take that too kindly.
I’ve been dealing with this kit car paperwork for a LONG time now. I can build and legalize a vehicle like above.
WTF, that sucks the fun right out of my sails! lol
