calum sult board

anyone using this? i can’t mind much info about it.few questions

can you use it if if your not running a maf ?
does it have a timing map you can use?
does it read EDIS and Vr sensor

its for a itb set up btw.would i be better off with a megasquirt ?

or would it be better to go to a local shop and have it tuned.
here is what mods i plan on having

gsxr1000 throttle bodies
EDIS from for escort
coil
ignition wires
VR sensor
36-1 trigger wheel
dc headers
cat back
test pipe
crank pulley
BC stage 2 cams

anysugestions?calumsult,megasquirt or rom tune?

Sorry what motor and body is this going to be in.

Calum, nistune, bikirom all are pretty similar.

maf delete as far as i know biki, and nistune do not support it, calum i think is the same at this point.

I have always wanted to run ITB’s but the more i thought about it, the more i leaned towards a plenum with a maf sensor. much crisper resolution.

Let me know what you have i can tune all of the boards mentioned about. also i can rom tune your ecu.

its a ka24de in a s13

it is much easier with a plenum.but what about power gains? and wonder if it would sound the same as a open itb .

this is what i will be doing
itb with plenum (i will be taking out the throttle body on the plenum end)
sr 370cc injectors
248/248 cam (s13 exhaust cams)
safc for now, maybe a rom flash if needed (eventually plan on going with a megasquirt with EDIS)
sohc pistons on dohc for high compression / or might get a t25 setup eventually

Hey jed. Go with ka24e flat top pistons, thats what you want, you needa get them out of an 1989 nissan 240sx but it NEEDS to be made in 1988.

Don’t substitute 1990 (1989 build date) SOHC pistons for it either thinking its the same.

1989 (88 build date) has 9.1:1 compression
1990 (89 build date) has 8.6:1 compression

i assume a map would be more efficient, how does a maf have a crisper resolution? ultimately a tps based map would be able to get the most out of this setup.

So the '89('88 build date) sohc pistons are the ones that give the 10.5:1 compression on the dohc right? are the '90('89 build date) ones are the same as dohc ones for compression or less?
