What did you have the air pressure at? Seems like they were aired up too much. You cant air up drag radials to 32 psi and not expect them to spin. I usually run mine at 15 psi.
I blow the tires off at the track on my streets tires and still trapped 110.5-110.9 consistantly…and I made 351rwhp…your trap isnt up there for anything over 290rwhp IMO…The track is another form of a dyno.
I KNOW I could hook up at the track on drag radials…how much do you want to sell them for? I only need them for a few runs.
the lifting and twisting to the right is just the nature of the beast…the motor is rocking that way under the torque load and so is your axle…hence making the front end twist to the right, and the rear end swing to the left.
David Wolfe has gone 7.4X’s on a set of 325/60/15 M/T Drag Radials in his foxbody. Id say you’d be ok with a set of them. From experience with having ET Radials, ET Streets, and ET Drags…id say the radials are right on par with the slicks on the street, and youll actually get some decent mileage out of them!

You can buy decent rear ends for like 1500. Better investment then buying lowering springs and wheels for your car. And my brother has 275/50/17 inch Mickey Thompson drag radials on his camaro and it hooks just fine…well not now cause the tires have seen better days so if you are spinning 1st and 2nd with drag radials order some new ones

hey now, i have no problem hooking up, its these dumb fuckers who think that the t56 is gods gift to earth, If he went to a stalled auto he would have no problems hooking up whatsoever, but to each his own i guess, i do think Pauls right though, it does sound like hes running to much pressure in his tires to hook, you also need good tires, bald ones own help much either. Throw a 150 shot on your car, tune it, then dyno it, Then go get your self a brand new pair of MT drag radials, you’ll be in the 11s all day, and if it blows THEN you rebuild with something else.
My brothers t56 hooks fine but the tires are beat now.Howards tune does not help it either but he def doesn’t have traction issues
