If it’s just construction zones I’m fine with it, but when they say they’re installing 84 new cameras and looking at the locations I have my doubts it’s just construction zones.
Sorry, I posted the wrong link. This isn’t just for work / construction zones. What I read said it was a permanent thing and based off of the construction zone camera thing they did this summer. Maybe the article was wrong?
New York Vehicle & Traffic Law § 1180-E allows for automated speed monitoring in certain construction zones around the state.

Sounds like they’d have to amend the VAT to put these anywhere outside construction zones? Cunty Hochul can’t do that by herself but with our current senate and assembly fully controlled by democrats I doubt it would be that hard to pass a bill to change it.

i think even the dems will push back on that. They actually fought to get the speed cameras removed from buffalo because they dispropotionaly ticketed blacks.
