neither. there are no holes in the block or the pan. it looks like it bent and then broke… and proceded to beat the bottom of the sleeve until there was nothing left of either.
You’re lucky. The z6 motor I bought, not as lucky.

Actually that would make a good turbo oil return. At least you don’t have to drill and tap into the block now…
