Can you swing a hammer....?

…or install interior trim, cabinets, flooring, drywall, roofing, siding, etc., etc., etc.? With the uptick in the economy and resulting overwhelming response to the home shows (not to mention by meteoric sales abilities / performance) we are in a position where we need skilled tradespeople for our company. We are also looking for “trade partners”, which most people know as sub-contractor’s, to help also, so if you own your own company, we’d be willing to speak to you as well.

I won’t get into details on pay and such, as it’s not my place, but if you have any interest in speaking to the right people, I can get you in touch with them. All I can tell you at this point is that I’ve been here for over a year and a half and am pleased with the people I work with and the way I’ve been treated. Be forewarned, we are looking for honest, courteous, dependable, an skilled talent, which I know most companies are. If you’re a middle aged adolescent, slacker, 6 night a week partier, have a phobia of alarm clocks, or a convicted (or under indictment) felon / recent escapee, don’t waste your time. If you are up and coming with some solid basic skills, there might be opportunity, but again I cannot speak to the finer details since that’s not my responsibility anymore.

PM me if you like and I can make sure your information goes to the right people. Resumes are desirable and if you have one (and you should), you could snail mail it or PM me and I can give you and email to send it to. Thanks and hoping to find someone out there seriously looking.

If you ever need a construction clean up, the janitorial business I own can help out. I’ve been working on growing it lately and I’m looking for jobs to quote. Keep me in mind if anything comes up.

Will do. We need more people to make a mess for you to clean up!

I’ve always heard good things about Kaz… I interviewed with them while I was at Cortese and would have gone there in a second if I didn’t land this current position I’m in now.

What do you do for them?

Official title is Project Developer but it’s a fancy term for Salesman. I handle design / build projects (additions, garages, structural, etc.) along with kitchens and baths and basement buildouts. I can pretty much do anything here but there are specialists in each department and we are not really allowed to step on their “turf” so to speak, but I do from time to time. What did you do for Cortese and what was your experience there?

Glad to hear things are going so well for you…

I worked for them for a few years and did mostly kitchens and bathrooms, windows / doors. Mostly finish work. They found out I was handy so then I did electrical and plumbing too lol. Now I work at Anastasi Trucking as a project manager / estimator. We do large commercial projects (I’m currently running the solar city project right now). Wish I knew someone to recommend because it’s a good place to work in that industry.

Just wondering, what is the pay like? I am currently 1 of 3 employees who maintain a mobile home park of 150+ homes and have worked in most areas of construction before but this job is not cutting it for me anymore. Convenient but the pay grade is definitely below my capabilities.

Again, not my territory. Worst you could do is have a sit down with them. If you’re experience us right, Im sure they’d pay you right. Never know till you ask.

Bump. Still looking for both interior and exterior trades.

BUMP!
