oil return bolt holes stripped on my turbo. quite pissed. have the right size helicoil kit left over from my head repair. need to know if i can use it on cast iron. anyone have experience with this? please no guesses…expensive ass turbo. thanks

i’ve heard of hard core guys stripping motors down and heli-coiling EVERYTHING
figured it out on my own, answer is yes…to anyone in the future who may need to do this. you can helicoil cast iron. the helicoil kits are pretty much universal. i just did this on my turbo & have been through a couple heat cycles & it is still holding strong. thanks guys for replying but sometimes you just need to gamble i guess. LOL
