it has to be an alignment issue of some kind, something isnt fitting how it should. did u take it all apart and put it back together?

and black240matt, this will be the 3rd time taking the trans-off, but if you mean taking the transmission apart? i have not done that because whent he trans is off the car it works fine.

talked to chris at cpracing,
he said this problem occurs when the pressure plate is too small, the maxima p-plate does not go with the SR20 clutch, it is too small and constantly is holding the car in gear. i have to test is to confirm it, but now i have an idea what is wrong.
there are ways to shimy the p-plate.
ARG down goes the trans … again
