so im 20 and ive got a clean driving record and im paying ~125 a month on my parents insurance (allstate) anyone know if i can go out on my own and get it cheaper? also ive been an insured driver for 4 years dunno if that makes a difference.

Have you done the normal get quotes from geico and/or progressive thing?

I’m paying 48 bucks a month through geico. This is just liability and comprehensive for glass coverage. I also received a quote to toss a 25K vehicle with relatively decent coverage for 722 for six months.

it might be cheaper to go out on your own, i know it was for me when i was clean. dont be like me though and do dumb shit just cuz your on your own. 6 points in one speeding ticket=:tdown: i was on allstate for both, but im considering switching to geico once o get my bike on the road.

I went through all state and they wanted some retarded amount for insurance. Geico was easily the best option for me. Can’t hurt to get a quote. Takes like 5 min.

Again I know nothing about their claims. I’m sure others can chime in about that

geico gave me discounts for insuring multiple cars, allstate did not… i pay like $550ish every 6 mos for 2 cars with full comp, the works, and not bare bones coverage

how does insurance vary so much from person to person? im sure the cars your insuring and where you live play a big role but does that really account for the huge difference in what people pay? im paying about $1100 every 6 months for 2 cars, one full coverage, one just liability, and im even getting a discount because of my home owners insurance. and its not like i have some shitty driving record.

credit report might have something to do? im not sure but i thought thats why you needed a SS# for the quote. i havent gotten a ticket in 5yrs and dont really make claims. got the good student and homeowner and garaged discount as well as multiple car
