Seems like such a no0b question, but I’ve never had a car that did this before, so bare with me.
When I’m taking off, if I try and drop the clutch at like 3k RPM, instead of a clean peel, the car violently shakes, so I immediatly just take my foot off the gas. Is this an issue with the bushings, suspension, clutch or tranny or what? Thanks. Other than this the car drives amazing though, clutch never slips, etc, etc.
lol kk. It wasn’t like struggling/stalling though, revs were steady up at 3k. But yea ill try it out.
Soo do you think I juse need new bushings?
it’s when you just dumping the clutch in gear and you dont have traction so instead of pealing/burnout, your wheels are jumping up and down
u could have a broken spring in the clutch,
well…usually when cars don’t have traction the tires spin and the car peels out, the car doesnt violently shake and feel like my axels gonna snap…
It’s wheel hop. Solid subframe bushings do wonders to get rid of it.
Yeah sounds like wheel hop…does your shifter shake like mad in all of this?..a combo of solid or poly sub frame bushings, new engine and tranny mounts could fix this. its an older car too stuff is most likely worn out.
Sounds like wheel hop. Wheel hop is due to a lack of rigidity and stiffness in your suspension setup. If you have old spring/strut start there and move to bushings
Funny… My solids do the exact opposite…
That is odd. My coupe had the worst wheel hop of life until I put the aluminum bushings in. I did nothing else at the same time and it was amazing after, virtually no wheel hop and a much smoother car to drive.
Check to see if you have the bushing on your drive shaft where they connect. My old friends 300zx did that until i found out that it was missing.
