Sidetrack - A couple months ago, my old workplace marketing team asked the entire office for us to come up with a slogan that the company could use. The prize for coming up with the best slogan was a $25 HMV gift certificate. Keep in mind that this company pulls in 5 to 10 mill per year.
So $25 for a catchy company slogan, that will have millions of customers referring to them yearly, which would mean millions of dollars in extra profit for them. Shit… I don’t even buy anything at HMV so it’s not even money to me but a plastic card. I sent a response email to the head of the marketing team with, “Ask your own employees to do their own work and take your crap intended glory somewhere else”

For everyone that’s wondering " Did you get fired?". No. I did it intentionally. Coincidentally, I had given them 2 weeks notice of resignation and I got the “slogan” email within the last two weeks of my employment there.
So Bibby, you’re gonna need to offer up something worth it to get a good name from me. A contract for 25% of your future profits sent my way 
well lets of people have a name for their like “group of friends”… not really race teams but lots of groups of friends usually call themselves something… i find it pretty common
Competition usually goes better if you have a TEAM of show cars as well. We are in the process of starting up a show and shine team to tag along with the SPL team. No word on the names though 
well if you dont know what to name your team think of something that goes along with what your team does. but if you dont have a group already there is no point. but talk to your team if you have one and sit down and talk and think one up
my krew is called SUPER LUCKY TURBO VTEC KREW (oh sh*t son!) to get in you have to be able to do at least 400km/h on the highway, you need turbo and VTEC to reach these incredible speeds. You also need at least 3 wings for downforce.

MoD-Deep started off just friends and family and has spread, its not main stream its underground, we are planning on launching it next summer, its kind of slower then usual, we only allow members who have racing experience and cars that are heavily boosted. My cousin though it would be wise to have members who were serious about the sport, this way it keeps the how do you say extra fat off. lol don’t quote me his words.
we made money off by organizing underground races on private property up north in King City and Maple, lol owning every rich kids ass. Most of them have joined us, you might have seen a few of our cars at the Maple local car show this past summer @ the Tims on Rutherford and before Jane after the 7/11, same reason I bought a G37 coupe for TT conversion, and Sal bought 5th gen Maxima for a TT conversion originally for the B13 but things change.
Right now my car is the slowest one out the bunch, we don’t carry any stickers or anything, its low key we know each other by cars and people, and no one else knows, feels nice kind of special,hmm not,lol but its something we look up to for pass time.
so yea to the ones who think its a joke to have a team name are the ones who think twice before making a move, people who make things happen don’t think, they just do it, so who ever got flamed for this thread. lol dude don’t worry every 100 haters comes one appreciator worth twice the crowd.
many people (including the police) seem to have these preconceptions of what import enthusiasts are like. like when a 94 civic hatch comes up on my ass on the highway while im making my way home, and starts flashing the high beams at me. i suppose he thinks that we’re playing a real life game of need for speed underground 2 and if he presses “X”, it’s on… dawg.
unfortunatly for some people this is reality. they believe that every modified vehicle they come across was purpose built to race on public roads, and they have this world of organized street racing in their mind involving bets, “crews”, and other such nonsense. this mentality in the minority, is the reason for the persecution most import enthusiasts will face at one point.
so im sorry if it seems like im flaming this guy, but that’s my way of discouraging organized street racing. I wouldnt be on this forum if that kind of attitude were prevalent.
i have a crew, it doesnt have a name, they’re just my friends. we hang out, drink, eat, talk about cars and generally have a good time. no front’n, hate’n or throw’n down on da streetz like a straight up G. just normal stuff that regular people do. we just all happen to be nissan fans. show up to a meet and you will understand.
last time i did the happening part without the thinking part, i fell off a waterfall and broke my tooth.

lol, i wasn’t being specific to you, but yea, i agree about the civic and other kids who think the street is need for speed, but like you read, we race on private property, as in underground two ways, owned by some people who i won’t mention, and its more legal and better organised then at the track, we have safety equipment aswell, and 911 on speed dial, but like i said, only mature, race experianced people with well built cars that can handle abuse are allowed, and right now its also if you are related and close friend.
most of the time we don’t do it for money, more for fun, we made our money, and when people joined they donated, lets say very generously, if there is one thing we do it much much more organized then at the track, other than me telling you about this, and you seeing these cars roaming around maple area you will never hear about it. And yes we also chill like you guys,so i understand.
