CarPlay glitch, somehow linked to West Herr

So here’s a weird one. If I’m using CarPlay it always glitches out on Campbell right by Millersport. Happens in my S5 with an aftermarket wireless CarPlay adapter for the OEM head unit, as well as my wife’s VW Atlas with the 100% stock VW system. Happens with both our phones. The other spot it happens is on Transit heading Lockport, not far past NYBP. Most of the time it just skips the audio a bit, occasionally will crash CarPlay entirely. CarPlay rock solid literally everywhere else in the world we’ve driven.

Only today, coming back from Tractor Supply, did I realize there is a West Herr at each of these locations. Neither of us have ever been to either of these dealerships, much less been on their WiFi. Never does it driving past any of the other West Herr dealerships that are all over Amherst. WTF?! Next time I drive by I’m going to pull in at the dealership and see what my phone is showing under WiFi. All I can think is somehow it’s trying to connect as I drive by.

I’ve experienced this too driving up Transit by the new West Herrr Subaru building. Whole thing goes dead, CarPlay glitches out and then comes back on about 1/4 mile up the road in either direction.

I’ve never attached to their WiFi before, so I don’t think it’s that. When I come home my WiFi could take over but CarPlay always works until I shut the car off.
