It was funny when we pulled in my wife’s uncle asked why they were taking pictures, my daughter said, “Everywhere we go in this car people take pictures”.
NYSPEEDers should all park together. Some of you guys I have never actually met. It also seems a lot of the guys I have met I never see but they are probably just avoiding me.
I talked to a guy who asked me about the event, he said he was just driving by and saw us.
If they need a food truck for coffee, food, I know a guy who may be interested.
It was also fun standing near my car and listening to people explain the color of my car to their friends. People just totally make shit up!!! LOL
HAHA that VW was awful, with it’s shitty fake “patina” hood. Slipped through the shitbox filter. Great C&C overall though! Can’t wait for the next one.
I took a handful of pics, will try to post them up later this week.
I made it in even with my huge wing  but I thought it went very well. Thanks for bringing it back!
Everyone knows what you drive, but not everyone knows what the other NYSPEED guys drive. I recognized that one Porsche with the funky front end that the one guy just bought. I know Shifty and his Mercedes and a few other guys. I’m terrible with screen names when people just have a bunch of numbers or letters as their s/n. We’d have to pick a back line or something and write our s/n on the car lol.
I agree. I know only a handful of people and would like to meet / talk with more. Maybe embroidered hats with our screen name on them. Was nice to finally meet Shifty, albeit briefly. I got into a convo with Clay’s (Jimshort’s) dad. Nice guy too. Wonder what happened to Clay?
Thanks to everyone that attended and made the event a success, I was very happy with how everything turned out. Even though by numbers this was our second largest ever behind the last OP meet, this one was very calm, no nonsense, and everyone really understood what it was that we were trying to accomplish. We are meeting with several food / coffee suppliers this week to sign paperwork for the rest of the season, if all goes as currently planned there will be two or three food trucks, and two coffee providers.
We are still working out the best way to enforce the quality car aspect, while most people understood what should enter, and what should pull into public parking as mentioned early some did slip through by coming from the store side entrance. Not sure how to block that side off, it is a huge span across the parking lot, we will need to get creative.
Any other feedback about the event please let me know, we are working with the mall to make it the best it can be.
