New sponsor, new location. I was out of town but I heard good things.
There was a group of classic cars (old dudes) that I saw coming back from the event, looks like they attracted a good group of people.
Not a car show but i went to fright world last night and there was a pretty big miata crew there
Was fright world running a horsepower room because that’s what I’m guessing scares Miata drivers the most.
What’s the technical term for a big Miata crew? A gaggle?
Ugh, Buffalo Miata Club. I was a member on their FB group for a minute, but then realized that most Miata owners are childish weirdos or super old people. Not a fan.
so basically like any other car club?
or very specifically like us oldies and weirdos?
We are dysfunctional here, but Miata people are a rare breed. It’s 16 year old kids with beater Miatas asking dumb questions or old people asking if they can tow their Miata behind an RV.
I decided a long time ago to not be part of any specific car “club”, it’s such a strange thing to only socialize with people who own a certain type of car.
I talk more shit to corvette people than I do any other group lol
I’ve seen you over on corvette forums from time to time lol
Back in the UBRF days, I met some lifelong friends in the j-body clubs.
It must be harder today, because just about everything has been done and now we are the curmudgeons with “deep” pockets that know how to make cars fast.
I will never forget going to bubble tea to try and get some UBRF’er help with my massively misfiring under boost cavalier. Nobody knew shit, unless it was how to boost a civic or strip interiors
i still dont know how to make cars fast. not without breaking anyways
But are they faster when they break now vs 15 years ago
Who’s going lol?
Hmmm I might. Halloween parties don’t start until about 9
So, where do all the humans gather with their cars these days?
Anyone got favorite cruise nights, coffee n cars or others?
can we go old school and have @Onyx_Z32 spec out a long and exciting route to some park or event…
Maybe a track day at Watkins Glen with 35mph winds, rain, and temps hovering just above 34°?
Beat on your car in a safe environment! If you need help or any driving tips hit me up. The first event is this sunday, but the weather is shit so don’t bother. People will say “racing in the rain makes you a better driver”, but working the course in the rain sucks so bad lol.
