been there, done that. about 10x over. haha

youre absolutely correct, sir! :thumbup

also, possibly a bike and/or car burnout contest during the show as well? we could also do something i saw when i attended a show years ago, called a speaker toss. people try throwing a big heavy(obviously broken) subwoofer for distance to compete for some kind of prize, or maybe throwing a rim with a tire on it? i’ve got my busted ass 19 we can use for that purpose. I’d be glad to load it to you guys for such purposes. thoughts?

In '04 and '05 I would religiously attend SLAP shows, I went to finals in Maryland twice, during both those years. I got to know the staff quite well, and they said the car stereo scene dropped off a lot thats why they didnt really do anymore shows.

But you are right, they did a car show very well. Good classification, fair judging, and always had a good crowd in attendance no matter where the show would be. I remember going to the Judgment Day show in Albany on Broadway with my RSX…good times.

Yup, I used to do LOTS of slap shows. I went to finals the last year they had them (I want to say 05) and I used to talk to Mike and greg quite often. What happened is the other owners of SLAP basically backed out of it, and left all the burden on Mike, so now he just does shows local to him a few times a year (RI, eastern MA area)

Im sure he’d still do it for the right price

wet T shirt Contest what???

screw Bikini contest’s. You cant see nipps.

Illegal, not to mention all the kids present.

You want those, check out sneaky pete’s on thursday nights during college.

lets take over for them Marty

Oh I love joking around guys lets keep this one on the real though. Your thoughts actually matter to us and I want this thing to go off without a screwup and better than it has ever been next year.

Yes, I went in '05 too!
Mike and Greg were awesome.

I went to the SLAP organized show in '07 at Precision Mobile Audio in CP and had a conversation with one of the judges. We were talking about shows and cars in general and he asked me “When you were 16, what was the first thing you did to your car?” I told him the stereo. He said; “Exactly, ask a 16 year old kid that now, and they will say rims, body kit, etc…” It makes sense, the audio craze seems to have been put on the back burner. I used to love going into the Saratoga Mall (not Wilton mall) when Electronics Warehouse had a store there, I was amazed looking at the different installs they had done to what seemed like a different vehcile each month. Good times.

lol werd and basically just told the world you and old man !!!

What car did you have and what class did ya compete in?

Like I said, if ya want to put together an audio show that will most likely draw in vehicles from all over the north east, let me know when you start getting things together and i will see what i can do

Well I am going to set up a meeting after the Adirondack nationals and I would like you to come if you would like to be a part of it. The meeting will be in Albany at O’tooles I just have to make sure that everyone is avaialble that day

Shit, im unemployed still, im free most days

lol well then I should expect you at the meeting?
