Cat>Dom

STFU !!!

 I should post the cat i found. You would never talk to me again

You are just an ass… Don’t torture marge… she is obviously upset.

See sig, I love cats

That cat is playing with it’s poo hole…

Stupidity doesn’t bother me much, I’m used to it. My vet is pretty sure this is whats wrong with him, he has all the symptoms. My mom has a lab with diabetes, she went blind because her old vet misdiagnosed her. The vet I use now is the one that diagnosed her. He’s having neurological problems, not just seizures. BTW, it’s actually been about $500 in vet bills now. And I think it’s worth every penny.

OH Marge, I am so sorry for the little cutie. I hope he pulls thru, we have two older dogs, and recently I’ve been thinking about their “demise” and how i am going to handle it. All said and done, not very well. And hubby, forget about it, I am the one who is going to have to physically deal with it. I feel so much for you and kitty, prayers and thoughts and hugs.

well, she left for midnight shift. Im worried about her not sleeping worrying about him. She didnt sleep to well last night and kept getting up to check on him. Im here now, we put him to bed. He didnt want to take the most important medicine he has, he kept spitting it up. Doesnt help he just cannot sit up straight. We fed im a little so. Im hoping he pulls thru for her mental health.

Well, I just got home from midnight shift. Dom told me Willie kept crawling around through the night, which is good since he was hardly moving yesterday. He even made his way to the litterbox and used it himself. I’ve got his IV running now and I’m about to give him all his medicine. Thanks everyone.

Sounds like he may be getting better. I’m holding out hope on my end.

yeah, damn cat kept me up half the night, but I feel fine this morning. So, when i found in in the box he was making a ruckus, but he used it. He’s def perked up after eating and taking some meds.

That is great news yall! Seems like he’s getting a little better, will keep the fingers crossed for his returned health.

just tell it to quit being such a pussy and man up

He seems a little better, he gave me hard time with his IV and meds though. He kept trying to crawl under my bed, I guess the IV scared him. He wouldn’t hold still until I sat there and held him while he got the rest of the IV fluids. I got all his meds in him, then he puked them all up, along with the tiny bit of food I forcefed him. Then he peed on his cat bed after he finished his IV. I had a puppy training pad under him, but he wiggled his way half off it. I hope he comes around a lil more, just so I know I’m doing the right thing. Everyone keeps saying maybe I should put him to sleep. It’s hard to think of doing that when he still lays in my arms and purrs, even with all this going on.

Definitely keep it up. Cats are some of the most annoying, but yet most fulfilling of all animals. I know Beth and I wouldn’t be the same without Buddy and Hopper. Buddy we found out was diabetic, and actually came pretty close to the end we think, but luckily the doc caught it and we can now control it through diet. He would be so lethargic, drink tons of water, and start losing his fur. He’s all good now.

Hopper had the feline equivalent to whooping cough. It was tough sitting there with the little guy in quarantine, wondering if he was going to make it through the night. He is doing great now and is super strong. If only we could keep them off of the counters, we would be set…

Here’s a pic of them being gay for inspiration… sorry if it’s a little big.

Thanks v-dub, they are really cute. I love gray cats. This is my girl, Pookie…No making fun of her name either. http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b227/magicalmarge/Pets007.jpg
I think she used my totalgym more than I do lol

lol @ the total gym comment.

wasn’t pookie the name of garfield’s stuffed bear?

don’t you have a job or something? :hs:

yeah, I’m pretty sure “forum jockey” was in my job description. Well, we’ll just assume it is ; )

Then he peed on his cat bed after he finished his IV.

Was this on accident or on purpose?

I only ask because when my cat was having kiney problems it hurt when he peed in the litter box. He associated pain with going to the bathroom there so he started peeing where he felt comfortable and safe-my queen sized bed. I didn’t know that something was wrong and that he was hurting, I thought he was having behavior problems and was ready to kill him. I was literally peed on in the middle of the night several times.

The vet finally taught me that this kind of behavior means that something is wrong and the cat is trying to work around a problem of some sort. Call your vet immediately and tell them what happened and see if they think it means anything in your case. Had I figured out things sooner my cat may not have suffered irreversable kidney damage that caused him to die. It is better to error on the side of caution in this case.

Good luck.
