Just my opinion, but if you’re going to change religions, or find one, do it for yourself, not for someone else.
I am kind of biased I would say. I really don’t believe most of what catholicism says about confession, baptism, priests, rules of marriage, etc. Honestly you need to just research what a religion teaches and make a decision from that. It is all about what you choose to believe and what makes the most sense to you.
a good suggestion would be to start visiting churches and see what you like the most. even churches within a specific faith have some big differences in how they run services, etc.

Well this is not becasue of her from 3 years ago,i have been thinking about it alot,becasue i do beleive in god and have been to church. Now if i d o this i know i won,t be all into it to the full extent but i was going to do it because i wnated to for myself.

I truely believe that you don’t ever have to go to church. look at the preists that have molested children or are gay(actually about 95% are gay in the catholic faith for some reason, probably because they aren’t allowed to marry)they are more a sinner than most of us in the world. I think that some guy who is truely believes what you have to believe to get to heaven will go no matter if you go to church every week or ever at all or not.
It should all come down to what you believe. also is your girl a true catholic or is it because that is all she has ever been exposed too?

Boosted is right. I would believe that you are agnostic, not atheist. I’m personally Agnostic. I was baptised Protestant, but went to only Catholic cermonies and church services as a kid. (my mom was protestant, dad was catholic). I just see too much shit day to day to know if there really is a God or not. Who knows. Someday, I will investigate it further and maybe I’ll become more “religious” in terms of being Catholic, Protestant, Presby, whatever… Or, I’ll just stay the way I am after investigation, who knows.
