But it can be if you play your cards right, :naughty:
ghey. Mine was 150 in Depew like a year ago.
lol yeah it just goes hand in hand with the socialism. From each according to the State’s need. To each according to the State’s ability. We don’t quite have it right.
bluetooth for the win.
If the phone is less than 12 (or is it 15?) inches from your face, its ticketable in nys.
Just don’t talk on your mobile phone while you’re driving. If you HAVE to take a call use speaker or bluetooth. I’m pretty sure all phones at least have speaker.
Alot of phones don’t actually. My blackjack was the first phone I owned that did have it.
Really? I don’t remember owning a phone that didn’t. Maybe my OLD LG510…
Plead not guilty and you get a $50 parking ticket. Roughly.
Plead guilty, you get an automatic $55 NYS surcharge, plus whatever they decide.
not guilty it is.
everyone says tickets transfer… well they do not… and they do.
i’ve had 2 speeding tickets in WNY… i KNOW that one never showed up on my record. i left the last one for 1.5 years unpaid. they said there was a warrant out for me, which i am sure there was. i was able to cross the border more than a hundred times though. They also said my license was suspended, but i’ve been pulled over in Canada without issue.
One thing i will give you guys though is that all i had to do was pay the ticket to make it go away. In Ontario if you have a suspended license and you go to pay a ticket you have to pay a reinstatement fee too… or some shit like that… so you’re lucky there.
i have viewed my driving record on police computers in Ontario police cars (a couple years ago) and the NY stuff didnt show up. But still everyone says they carry over.
this is not a points offense. the officer told me that, and i dont care anyways. ticket number 19 in the bag.
pfff 19? that’s nothing.
not including parking tickets or being gay tickets… i have no being gay tickets… but could that be because i’m sweet at keeping secrets?
if you could get tickets for bumjumps…
i almost did…
this does not happen anymore. NYS instated the mandatory surcharges to make sure they were getting their cut.
surcharge went from 55 to 65 as of july 1st…atleast that is what i was told when i paid my cell phone ticket june 30th. 130 dollars in the town of tonawnada. there are no points for cell phone tickets either.
Congrats on being the first person I know who got a ticket for this.
I have been stopped numerous times but never ticketed for it.
my mom’s friend got one recently and paid near $150. It’s pretty crazy.
mine was $75 in WS. I heard they are $100 max before the surchage fees and shit
i’ll report on how it goes.
the great part is that being on salary i still get paid for the morning i take off to fight the ticket. in fact, i’ll work it into some cross-border pick ups and then grab some pizza and picasso’s and make it a whole morning… maybe bring the family and have a nice day off courtesy of WNY state police.
^ Good, but we’re still getting your money.
