So I need a new hood because of an accident and was looking at CF hoods, but there are many out there with different levels of quality, rolled edges, decent clear coat, squeleton, etc…who makes a good one?
look for a CF hood that made using EPOXY w/a clear coat, anything else is crap for a hood. ‘esters’ loose their strength ( sag temp) around 180 F this is where hoods start to get shrinkage around the edges, surface droop and in some cases bubbling in the resin.
