Had one of their boost gauges in my Mazda. Worked great for a while, then flat out died. To put that into context, I put about 50k miles on that car, and the gauge probably died inside of the last 10k miles.
When driving on track, I have trouble regularly looking at gauges unless they are flashing or screaming at me. The STI had normal defi’s without peak/warn and i looked at them once before and once after a session–kind of useless if something would have gone wrong.
Did you have them long?
Did you make an attempt to return for a replacement?
I was looking at autometer elite gauges while researching different gauges. They are really pricey but not only do they have a high and low warning but they have a signal out for the warning that car be run to a alarm or another light. In my particular setup that could be wired into the spout connector and if something was in a warning condition it would pull a significant amount of ignition timing to reduce power instantly. Great looking gauges but like I said they are really pricey.
i didn’t try to get it replaced. There was never an issue with boost and had no real need to monitor it anymore, so I left it busted, then pulled it out when I traded it in.
