any good places for cheap insurance
im lookin for a new insurance and im just wondering if anyone has really cheap insurance?

if your under 25, go through meloche monnex, if your over go through canadian direct, they are both very cheap compared to others

i’m through meloche monex, and have been for over 6 years. I like them, they have been good to me. however i heard they might not be accepting new private customers, that they are only accepting businesses from now on. don’t know if it’s true though so give them a try.
I just checked the quote thing out from Meloche and filled it all in and they put me at 703$/month. I’m 20 with 1 accident no speeding tickets insuring an 02 Spec V with full coverage… Where I’m at right now I pay 315$/month. Are those online quotes off usually?
715! a month HAHA that horible! state farm quoted me at 10 000$ the best that i can get right now is 3800/yr or 316/month. i can get 3500 if i go and take drivers training. im 19 no speeding tix, or acidents. and im trying to get insurancefor my 03specv.
your better off just calling and getting a quote over the phone.
i have never did it online but im assuming its accurate, your probably using the same program that they use to give you your quote.
will you be driving the car to and from work/school? if not make sure you tell them the car is a pleasure only vehicle it will help a little. pleasure only means you just drive it in non-rush hour times. i’m sure you knew this.
i wonder if they will believe that tho. because i only have 1 car, and im going to nait, and i have a job, im sure they will be like how are you getting to school and work. haha but ill try.
you could be taking the bus to work and school how would they know, but if you ever have an accident you will be in big trouble if you lie to insurance.
Before we were married, my wife had her car insurance through Meloche-Monnex. The rates weren’t bad, but what a fucking pain in the ass to deal with. She got in an accident (not her fault) and they were the stingiest bastards I’ve ever had the misfortune of dealing with. Currently we’re both with ING, who’s rates are good, but we haven’t had to make a claim with them yet so I’m not sure how they deal with people.

Co-operators. . .I think i’m sitting at around 3k per year, basic coverage (liability/PLPD). Turning 21 august 4th, had license since i was 16. . .about 13-15 tickets, licence suspension. No tickets in the past while. . .car’s been down for a while :lol:

ok. . .i’ll admit that i speed frequently. . .being in Yellowknife sux, max limit in town is 45kph, limit on highway is 75 around town and outside of city limits is 100. Roads are shit and RCMP & Bylaw are plentiful. I think Yellowknife is the place they send rookie Municipal Enforcement piglets to prove themselves. I’ve gotten i think 8 speeding tickets. 2 seat belt violations (one was in a company truck and it didn’t work). The other was in my dad’s 1980 cutlass and they were cutting into our necks (The only time i didn’t wear it). 2 are for invalid/expired registration, those are true, i forgot to renew it and i got a ticket. A week later they caught me again, and towed it. I’ve also got 2 or 3 for “stunting”. Winter in Yellowknife, slick roads, summer tires and uphill. Cop said i was deliberately stunting. OK RANT WILL STOP BEFORE GET MAD!
My insurance went up 55% cuz of this and i’ve gotta wait a while before they eliminate my history. So my question is now: Where should I go for insurance down there? I’m thinking about going to co-op down there. . .

haha that sucks yah i was riping around my neighbourhood last night just for fun and i was going prob 80km around corners, got a lil drift going haha, but not to much. I dont know what to tell you buddy, 45 in town sucks big time! and rookie cops are assholes! they never let you go with a warning. my best bet would to tell ins you are using your car for pleasure and thats it. other than that id assume you have to wait like you said, for your record to drift away.

Same here. Also, if your family has been with them for a bunch of years, they may cut you a slightly better deal. I know that’s what they did when I first signed up with Wawanesa many…many years ago.
