Guessing you have an EX.
Edelbrock makes a plug + play emissions legal turbo kit, AND a plug + play Nitrous kit with intake manifold, so you wouldn’t have to do any custom work. An Engine swap isn’t really worth the cash for a street car. You have a 127hp Civic. A B16 is only 160hp, and the swap would cost you a couple grand. You can find that 33hp difference in other ways a hell of a lot cheaper than $2000.
If you want to make your car feel fast, upgrade the suspension first. A good suspension lets you take turns faster + with more confidence. It’ll also make sure your car is well-prepared for adding power.
ok 1st the 93-95 d16z6 has only 125 hp not 127hp those are the 96-00 ex motors
2nd the turbo kit from edelbrock is for 96-00 d16y8 not his d16z6
3rd the b16 has only 160 stock hp but is a DUAL CAM so therefore it takes so much better to mods and they make just about anything and everything for that motor cause it has been around since the early 90 crx’s

From honda owner to honda owner, the easiest way to get more power is an engine swap which rather easy to do with general automotive knowledge… but it’ll take time and money not so much time as money though. If you just goin for a little more power just cover the basic to start I-H-E which you previously mentioned. If your looking to get a little more than your average joe your gonna get into more time consuming projects and a bit more $$ which i dont feel like explaining everything here but if ya really wanna know let me know and i can go into more detail
