Checko's EG sedan (finially gettin some love)

thanks man! im kinda at a stand still waiting on parts. on a good note, the front lca’s are powder coated  gettin tires tomorrow

peeling this tape off the bolts is such a pain! :frowning:

I was wondering if there was tape or not. I bet that’s a bitch. Good luck though lol, everything’s coming along and looking really nice.

everytime i start to peel it off, it just breaks off into tiny little pieces and stick all over my fingers haha

got my tires on today. falken ziex 912s. also gave the wheels a quick wash

energy suspension trailing arm bushings came in the other day

got the ball joints and wheel bearings in today

also wire wheeled and started paintin my hubs

this tape will be easy to remove

the other day i started putting the front suspension together. i pressed the hubs in, and then realized the lower control arm bushings were super beat. they pretty much pushed right out lol. new bushings are on the way. today my dad and i put the trailing arm bushings in. while we were at it, we installed new wheel cylinders, shoes and springs. we gotta finish up the passenger side and rear suspension on monday. we cut the old bushings out with a reciprocating saw. then we torched the little bits of the old bushing out  the new energy suspension bushings went in really easily. we used the wheel bearing hub tamer kit. it was a breeze lol. heres some pics:

Awesome build but damn, drums in the rear? Also, what’s the deal with those wheels, are they stock gsr wheels from the early 90’s?

I think they’re optional del sol wheels? Not too sure though.

yea drums for now they were an optional wheel on civis, del sols and integras I believe. I still need center caps for them tho

tomorrow it should be a roller again if all goes well!

well with the lca bushings i bought, i thought they were supposed to be both for the arm itself not one for the arm and one for the radius arm. so i ended up goin to honda to get the other bushings i needed.

cutting out the metal sleeves wasnt very easy. heres what i used lol

http://i82.photobucket.com/albums/j277/fox88nick_2006/tools.jpg

i had to cut the sleeve, then use the punch to knock it free.

in the end it turned out pretty good. got the bushings in today. then bolted the knuckles in.

got that car back on the ground! shes a bit dusty.

http://i82.photobucket.com/albums/j277/fox88nick_2006/dusty.jpg

trailered the car back from the shop this morning, gave it a quick wash and took some pics

note: -hood/fenders/bumper still have yet to be aligned

It’s sitting pretty level for having no engine in there. I’m assuming you’ll be tweaking the coilovers.

yea i will have to adjust the coilovers. i didnt mess with the fronts from when i had them in the car with the engine in tho. but a finial adjustment will be done once the motor/tranny are in
