I picked up this car 2 summers ago. It need a few things to bring it back to life.
It needed:
-Windshield replaced
-Tie rod (all got replaced)
-front springs were cut (replaced with coilovers, rears still to go in soon)
-PS/AC was removed, all the hoses were left around (half assed)
-Shifter was hacked in half (searchin for short throw soon)
-It need misc other little things here and there I can’t think of right now.
5th gen sedans can look really good.
So what’s the plan for this?
I would have passed on that strut bar, or any hinged bar for that matter.
You’d be better off sticking with a non hinged solid bar. The hinge point gives the bar a point of possible flex, rendering it pointless.
i got that strut bar for a deal tho. i like it. as for the rest of the car, its gettin a total respray in and out. got some little dings to take care of. coupe front end conversion. rear coilovers goin in, lower control arms, lower tie bar. front and rear strut tower bar. Rebuilt the motor. i got alotta work ahead of me!

Isn’t this like a $800 dollar car in good shape to star with? Is this shell worth fixing up? (not that it’s a crappy car, just because of the accident damage)
The value of a car shouldn’t matter, if a person has the desire, and will to restore it its worth it to them! I bought my hatch from a member on here back in the day and I restored the complete car basically! The car had a sagging roof, doors were dented, fenders were swapped out for EDM/JDM ones, rear quarters were all rotted out, brake and fuel lines were leaking, etc… I replaced everything with OEM Honda parts and not some cheap knock off sh!t! Roof, rear quarter panels, doors, fenders, front & rear bumpers, brake fuel lines, etc…
So Nick keep up the good work! If you need any help you know I’ll give you a hand. If you do this car right I think it will be one of the best eg sedans around, if not the only one
oh, couple things that also bein done, power window/power locks/power mirror conversion. im scratching the coupe front end conversion plan. i got a coupe hood, and a brand new never painted coupe bumper for sale. fenders w/marker light holes pending already…
today tinkered a lil bit, replaced the fender brackets that were bent, causing the fenders to not line up properly. newer sedan bumper put on. the motor/tranny will prob. be pulled with in the next week or two. the wiring behind the dash will be removed tomorrow. almost time to start sanding/body work!
when we were taking the half shafts out, notice some more things that need to be replaced. driver side lower ball joint is frozen in the knuckle, and the passenger side wheel bearing is shot. it also needs the hub, which i have, just needs to go on.
lots of stuff will be getting power coated soon as well. knuckles, control arms, caliper bracket, strut bars etc. some stuff will be pearl grey to match my new wheels ill be gettin in the next couple of days. VC will also be re power coated.
