Does anyone run these seats? They have been on the American 240, Honda and Bimmer boards and actually look pretty nice. They’re expensive for knock off seats but their construction looks good.
Just wondering if these are side mount seats just like the real thing and if they sit as low as the authentic seats?
it’s not the same company that was branding the seats, but its the same company that was making the seats and they also now own the brand.
so if you buy them, it is actually real Bride because it’s authorised, where as, before it was just a company calling themselves Bride that had good seats made somewhere.
Great, the company registers the name and thinks its legit? They are using BRIDE’s font/color/style etc. to market their knockoff seats as legit BRIDE and because the own the rights to the name its ok?
This is the kinda shit thats tanking this industry. Makes me sad.
If you think these seats are close to the quality of real ones you are mistaken. Its the name you are paying for. Otherwise they’d be listed for 200 dollars.
IMO, no reason to rock real or fake Brides to begin with. Get Sparcos or Recaros. You can get real ones for a bit more than the fake Brides, and I seriously doubt that they are any worse than real Brides. JDM brands carry retarded markup because they are JDM, and ricers want them.
fake bride seats sigh… trademark name was bride japan… and china and canada trademark BRIDE capslock… so these fake seats are AUTHENTIC fake seats. they are claiming.
btw… the underneath doesnt look same as real brides material and construction. and real brides come with certificates
on that honda site it states All seats come with UNIVERSAL SLIDERS FREE…
it looks nice and the same but its not. u get wat u pay for. but if u claim it as real ima light it on fire and show u wat its made of.
You can get a REAL Recaro Pole Position for like 650 and a Sparco Evo for about the same. Stop being JDM ricer fanboys for once, seats are not part of your car’s decor, they are there to serve a purpose, which is keep you in place, and keep you safe.
wasnt a part of this situation that the new company is still having the seats made in the same place as the genuine ones… so they are essentially the exact same seat?
this is not the knock-off seats that were copied and made with lesser materials. This is the Original BRIDE not being set up properly and one of their vendor partners (marketing firm?) taking the brand that BRIDE never registered and having the factory that built the seats all along continue to do so…
Solarian, Recaro Pole Position and Sparco Evo seats aren’t reclining. I’d assume people who want these China/Canada branded Bride’s want that Gias model specifically because of its reclining abilities. I know for sure its the reason why I want 'em.
For brand-loyalty sake, yeah, I can agree with some people who stand by Bride’s seats, or own JDM tyte Bride seats, but for the lower-income Joe that wants the same seats with the same features and holding quality, there you go! Same reason why people by Apex’i N1 dual knockoffs on eBay. Its a catback exhaust, they do the same thing. Sure it may not be made with the same quality welds or metals, but the performance differences will be so minimal, it won’t even make a difference. $500 for the real deal or $250?
If what Bing is saying is correct, then there’s nothing wrong with owning a pair of these. IMO, when choosing seats, you should be going in this order:
Safe
Holds well
Comfortable
Light
Aesthetic concerns (matching your interior, etc)
Brand
