he also, maybe about 2 years ago? ishhh i forget really was at home in texas, where he was filling up his truck with fuel and was robbed by these two men at gunpoint telling him to get money. He reached into his center console for his “wallet” and before the gunman realized he didnt have his wallet he shot both of them in the chest and head. BOOM.
lol sucks for them
havent you guys seen the movie Shooter???
just sayin. Don’t get all Vlad on me.
This is why i dont believe in god.
Because I cant see it, touch it, and experience it… I am only left to assume what others tell me.
Nobody here knows the 2 dead people, or have any connection at all to the story, not even friends of a friends sisters brother who has first hand information on it. When you assume you make an ASS out of U and ME.
RIP to the two dead vets. Condolences to the friends and families. Rot in hell to the person who pulled the trigger.
So you dont believe in God but you believe in hell? lol
Rot in hell?
Man is a Vet as well, who was having serious metal issues after serving our country and his vet friends were trying to help him get through tough times by taking him to the range.
I don’t know what caused him to snap and there is still plenty to he heard about this situation but shame on the stricture that allowed this to happen and didn’t make sure that he’s going to be okay going back into society.
Isn’t PTSD not even recognized in some political debates and argued as a made up disorder?
P.t.s.d is becoming a recognized illness , sad that they label mental disorders fake but call drug addiction a disorder lol . Any drug addict can stop ,it may suck for a bit but u can’t escape a mental deal .
Did you seriously just take sides with the murderer?
Go spend a few months in the Afgan desert where kids and everything else can and will kill you 24/7 then tell us if PTSD is real.
Is that directed at me? I don’t deny PTSD, I know it’s real. I just think it’s bullshit that Vlad will back the murderer like its okay he killed another marine vet because he has PTSD. I’m sick of excuses for everything, this piece of shit is a murderer and it’s because he pulled the trigger, no one else or nothing else to blame but him
No, not at you lol.
Oh lol
This.
If the guy was a murderer and maybe had issues before he served then sure.
However if he would have never done it before, but came back “damaged” and just snapped because he never assimilated, it’s hard to point a blame on a guy who simply wanted to serve out country, just to come back and be forgotten about.
There is a reason why people can get off on murder due to mental issues. It isn’t considered “their fault”.
If you take a bulldog and train him to dog fight for a few years and after give him to a family with a little kid. Bulldog snaps and rips the little kid to shreads. Sure bulldog did it, but you’re saying you aren’t responsible for conditioning the dog into a monster? At the same time not responsible for making the decision that it’s okay to give him back to society?
Can’t say I agree. Dog didn’t know any better. Did what it was told and was “broken” in the end.
I guess I was just brought up to take responsibility for my actions, not find someone else or something else to blame. I couldn’t disagree with you more, I know you like to play devils advocate but I have no words for this.
he murdered the guy in cold blood. There is no denying that Vlad so give up.
mental case or not. He did what he did and its not right.
For the record, never claimed that what he did was “right”…
Messed up situation all around.
If veterans were more cared for we would have a lot less problems and suicides.
lol good catch. it was a figure of speech more than a belief.
I dont care if he was the pope, Ron Jeremy, Ricky Carmichael, Dennis Anderson or some other super awesome badass dude. Your status in society DOES NOT give anyone more or less a right o murder people! Hell, being a vet, I hope to fuck he is striped of any metal he was given for these actions. It takes a million good jobs to try and clear up one major fuck up.
And again, I honestly could care less if he snapped, what caused the snap, and am an advocate for responsibility over “metal illness” Its still your body, no matter how much or how little control you may have its still your responsibility to stay clear of hazards. The LAST place I would go if i was in an veteran PTSD shoes would be a fucking shooting range!
I wouldnt say hes backing the killer, hes just expressing an opinion and keeping his eyes open to the “full story”.
Me too, I am sick of excuses too. Honestly one out of 5 people I can see around me has the balls and self respect to admit wrong doing. I have been lied of by people saying “I reset my password, its your system that wont let me in”… while I am looking at the fucking ID in active directory and can see it has not been modified/changed. All the way up to illegal activities, gross moral missdoings, and everything else. Its a disgusting world we live in now with that respect.
Good read on this matter actually and more info on the disorder
Roberts said it’s hard to know exactly what happened when Kyle brought Routh to a gun range in Erath County. But, Roberts said, he didn’t see any problem with taking veterans with PTSD to events involving weapons.
“We’ve done hunting events, shooting events, fishing events. The guys love it — they love being in that environment,” he said. “The key is being around other warriors and being in an environment where you feel safe to talk about what you’re dealing with.”
And this little “incident” happened 6 months ago…
That visit – which came after Routh, angry that his father was going to sell his gun, left the house and threatened, his mother told police, to “blow his brains out” – prompted him to be placed in protective custody and sent to Dallas’ Green Oaks Hospital for a mental evaluation.

From Foxnews
The man accused of killing ex-Navy SEAL Chris Kyle has reportedly been in a mental hospital twice in the past five months.
:shifty
No one here was there, so let it be. Unless anyone here has had PTSD, or have experience with people who have/do had/have it, we can’t really comment on it. No one here is a psychiatrist, to the best of my knowledge.
We should all know that different people deal with things in many different ways. Some people get quiet, some get loud, some wanna keep to themselves, etc… Psychiatrists experiment with people constantly because treatments are completely different for different people. I’ve read a lot on PTSD because it’s something I’m interested in with a lot of friends in the military.
I’m reading Chris Kyle’s book right now and the guy really was a hero, and he’s helped a ton of soldiers deal with PTSD as he had it a little bit but overcame it.
