So you driving shitty has everything to do with proving that some kid’s (who thought google was pronounced goggle) shitty time was obviously due to his tune? How the fuck does that even make sense?
The kid comes out of boost twice on his quarter mile run. It’s no fucking wonder why he can’t break into the 11’s. You and goggle have no comparison in shift time. You make your car sound like it has a DSG in comparison to goggle’s shifting.
If you’re going to go off topic please at least make a valid argument.
Someone close this thread i’m sick of this stupid shit it was funny for the first 3 threads and now it’s old.
on his 5-6 shift, he redlines it, then redlines it again when he misses the gear
im sure him not knowing how to shift has nothing to do with the car failing, and how many times has he done this?
What it proves is that if you have a bad pass (a few fuck ups) but SOLID power to back it up you will still run SOMETHING DECENT with a DECENT MPH.
Try to follow me…
Sobo-
This is how they compare.
Both higher hp builds
both of us fucked up first to second gear shift
both of us shift slow
both of us hit the rev limiter
Fuck he cut a better 60ft then me!
how do they not compare?
STI vs Evo?
I also have a video of me doing like 11.0 too if you care to see of another SOLID BAD PASS.
When this car was first introduced to us, everyone was all crazy over it “This car will be in the 10’s!” “OMG its SIQQQ.” “Its making SIQQQ HP!” EVEN MIKE said it would run 10’s… that was until we saw it make passes and end up in another shop… one that some people wont give credit where credit is due… ODD?
My car went 10s/ LOW 11’s @ 135+mph doing similar fuck ups as this kid… I never went 12.2’s @ 117 on race gas trying to get a decent time… even with all my fuck ups.
Conclusion/ hypothesis:
Maybe the car just isnt making the amount of HP that was stated… + needs a driver mod… no argument there.
SuperBadDriverSTI spends a whole pile of money with Mike to build a car.
SuperBadDriverSTI goes to track and thinks “hey, this ain’t right”
Instead of doing the logical thing and going to Mike, he some how hooks up with STM.
Now, one would think that any consumer of even moderate intelligence would have said “Hey self, you just spent a big pile of money and aren’t happy with the results, why don’t you go complain and get that shit fixed.”
With the return visit to Innovative I can think of a few possible outcomes.
Mike says, no prblm, let me show you how to drive - car runs fine
Mike says, no prblm, let me check it out, and finds issue with car, and fixes them
Mike says fk you douche and tells him car is perfect without offering to help demonstrate why car is apparently slow
Now, since SuperBadDriverSTI never gave Mike the chance to make right on his work, no amount of new times or dynos will ever tell anyone anything about the situation.
I’m still amazed that anyone would be daft enough to sign up for spending more money as opposed to demanding that the supposed problems be fixed.
I’ve seen plenty of explanations as to why SuperBadDriverSTI ran such horrible times, including a clear demonstration on video as to the driver being unable to even operate some of the mods he had put on his car.
It just doesn’t even make sense. I can understand shop pride but I can’t understand how anyone with even the smallest amount of intelligence would look at this situation and think “hey, IT doesn’t know what they are doing”. Even if they screwed something up, no one verified it in any manner.
Needs a clutch. Emery sold me his old triple carbon so I could run at the streetcar shootout a few weeks back. It’s ordered and on the way, one unexpected delay is all I’m sure this race will still happen.
Needs a new clutch. Emery sold me his old triple carbon clutch so I could run at the streetcar shootout a few weekends ago. So instead of a rebuild a all new one was ordered. It’s ordered and on the way, one unexpected delay is all, I’m sure this race will still happen.
Mike, your right he does run a better 60ft then you, but its obvious from his video that he has launch control enabled, thats tough, hold both feet to floor, side step clutch, get good 60ft times.
his driving comes into play because he complained that with innovatives tune and 400 whp he could only manage mid 12’s and a very unimpressive trap speed and blamed everything on how the car was running, yet with flat foot shifting enabled he can’t manage to shift without the revs bouncing off the secondary rev limiter and he falls out of boost (which shouldn’t happen).
again Mike, you claim your driving wasn’t good, yet watching both video’s your shifting was noticably quicker then superlouds.
and even by their own admission, STM admits that mikes tune on superlouds LGT was fine, AFR was fine, timing was fine. Mike would have probably pushed the tune further if it wasn’t for knowing that superloud did regular high speed pulls, and had proved to be abusive enough to blow a motor in his lgt with minimal mods
I’m just looking at the facts, I haven’t had either shop work on my car as of yet, so I’m not on anyones nutsack, if anything I’m looking at this and deciding who I’d want to have tune my STI come winter/spring, lets just say it won’t be STM, even if Mike were to drop dead, I’d find the nearest reputable tuner aside from STM, even if it meant driving 6 hours each way
Nysulli- First, I appreciate your maturity in your reply.
Id like you to look at this video…
What I see is a sub 120mph STI. Sure his shifts are slow, but if this car COULD hit 130mph traps, it would have pulled marks stock turbo Evo. No question about it.
Look at the STI fall back and back even throughout the gears.
My guess is if you have a decent driver to make up some ground for the slow shifts, they would be about even or the STI might have had a chance to pull as the Evo turbo runs out of steam.
Yeah I do shift better then him in my vids, but mine still SUCK.
And dont forget- how long was I on that rev limiter in first gear LOL
The only reason why I posted my video was to show a car making HIGH HP can still hit a 1/4 mile MPH relevant to the HP produced even with a shitty pass.
His car makes 400+whp on Mikes Mustang dyno. Everyone said it was a 10second car that could trap over 130 (before the drama)
But judging by his track mph, his race against Mark, and some of the things Ive seen on this car in person, there is no way in hell that car ever had a chance to run something of that nature.
Im sorry, its just not happening. with a solid driver, I bet the car goes 118-120 as it sat before.
The logs Emery took was not of the STI, but the Legacy GT in which this thread was about.
Chris’s STI has been on the lift for about a week fixing little issues.
As more develops Im sure Emery will post, but at this point, And this my opinion,it wont do any good because people will assume hes doing it just to bash Mike.
IMO
Taking a car with a bad build to another shop is not a crime nor should be looked at as disloyality like some have said.
The customer was not satified. He saught a second opinion on both his cars.
Now the owner of the shop in which is correcting mistakes is showing what changes he is doing to make more power/ better drivability.
