Chris's project car on rotisserie

wow, very very impressed.

Good luck with the buildup!

Well after an hour of scraping and afew hand cramps later I found that this car is in way better shape then I thought it was going to be, sure there is alot of surfice rust on the back end of the car (obove subframe) but every frame rail is good.

Even the known for rotting spots in the frame (below drivers footwell) are still the same colour as the side of the car with sufice rust in oly one spot.

I will try to get some more pics up to show you what I mean.

Thanks for all the coments guys!
Chris

this is going to be a drift car right??

Hahaha

no?? i just figured because of the car in his sig and his user name…

I don’t think I would go through all this trouble to seam weld the car if it was just going to be driven on the street.

I am not sure if this car will be street leagal when its done…ah who am I kidding there is no way I would be able to let a nice car sit in my driveway and want to drive it everyday.

It will be built as a track car but I hope to have it done nice enough to be a show car as well. Not saying I will enter any shows with it.

The car in my sig is my current slut whom which I have had just over 6 yrs and is aproaching 400,000k’s and has had 10 or so (i lost count) engine swaps.

Oh and thats me driving it too not Sasha…lol jks

oh man…

Ok so after about 54 hours of working on Project Bastard Child this weekend, we have managed to get the bottom of the car and most of the engine bay stripped to bare metal.

The more I work on this car happier i become with it. The frames are in amazing shape as you can see in the pictures.

I have almost 60 pics so I will just post a link to my webpage where you can view them. Some tine in the near future a web page will be built dedicated to the build up of Bastard Child.

Please post your comments here on SON and not on my webpage.

I was just messing around ;] no worries

so thats how the underside of a 240 looks like. And now i’m jelous(sp?) of how your frames are. A small part of my driverside frame caved in from the rust while I was changing the tires over the weekend. Now I need a shop where it can be fixed.

How are you stripping it exactly?

Wow, project Bastard Child is looking amazing. Thanks for link of the pics. Please keep us posted as the project progresses.

Can’t wait to see the finished product.
