Cingular/ATT Users

3G in Buffalo in the middle of October.

FUCKING FINALLY

free fucking wireless card and the shits slow as balls

Rock! i pick up 3G every once in awhile near the airport, but nothing substantial!

I’ll have to leave 3G on on my phone when i get home from san diego on the 15th :tspry:

Wireless connectivity speed should be 2 mbps on the Edge Network

Do you just pull numbers out of a hat or perhaps from your own ass??

:picard:

I work for AT&T and those are the numbers that are listed for the Edge network

3G is 6 mbps

 :biglaugh:

Hey, Dont kill the messenger

Those are the numbers we are told from AT&T Corporate.

click the link I posted…

Shit if EDGE was 2mbps and 3g was 6mbps… I would cancel every tie I had to Verizon and go out and buy an ATT phone tomorrow morning… sigh.

If thats what corp told you, I’d write em back and ask for it in writing lol.

Rubicant I did click the link you posted and saw those numbers

A consumer using a Sony Ericsson s710a in Washington, D.C. reported speeds of 207 Kbits/s on the Howard Forums, while a Philadelphia resident with a Cingular 8125 device reached 265 Kbits/s accessing a 200-Kbyte file. That individual said that he tested the device three months ago in a similar market and recorded speeds between 93 and 117 Kbits/s.

Please tell me where you see 2mbits in the above text? Those numbers are KILOBITS, not bytes…

lols.

Rubicant. Context error

I read the article and saw the numbers you were referring to.

And it goes against what they tell us here.

But Theory vs practice

ATT spreading that 2mbit makes them look like serious idiots. I can see close to that with HSDPA but not even close with EDGE.

where the fuck is my 3G?

:word:

edge is so fucking gay

my iphone would pwn if it was 3g…

bump

just looked at my hand set on lunch. 3g is up

tested speed at text.dslreports.com/mspeed says 784kbit/sec
