the speaker doesn’t fit the craddle, just take the heat gun to it and mold the plastic to fit??
these are the speakers from the group buy, what did everyone else do?

you can use a heat gun or just cut out the back.
The back one’s will fit without the plastic bracket, just put some sort of mat down in between the speaker plate and body ( dynamat ).
The fronts don’t fit. The magnet is offset and will not fit in the original hole. I have left my stock one’s in. Let me know if you figure something out.
P.S. Mine’s a F/B so it’s 4x6 all around.
this is what i’ve figured i’ll do, no point in having a boxed in enclosure unless you want more bass, and right now i have all the bass i need 8)
mine is also a f/b. and i fixed the problem, i got my “big mother” heatgun out (1300watts, 11 amps) and i took it the the plastic cradle. the entire back part, it has to go. On the 4 corners, any of them that have plastic above the ring (3 out of 4, only one corner can remain unmodified) the corner on the top right (i think it’s that corner) has to have a piece cut out of it so the corner of the new speaker can poke through and the other two can just be heated and crushed down flush with a good paint of pliars.
tools required:
-heat source (i.e: bitch ass heatgun)
-snips
-plyers or other device to crimp warm plastic flat.
this is what i did on a saturday afternoon to pass time, hope it helps 8)
Fitzy
p.s: i also suggest dynomating between the cradle and the speaker, i’m getting a slight rattle comming from one of the door ones.
