For some reason my daily drivers engine always stays shining like new, but on this new project it dont look bad but i wanna clean up under the hood, whats good ways to go about this and make an engine look clean and almost new?
Purple power and a hose , be careful around the coils and plug wires .
thanks man! and just keep water way away from that i will and keep the water hose on low:) that purple power @ advanced auto?
Simple green and a hose is less caustic than the purple power…if theres a lot of aluminum I’d go with the simple green.
Simple green+hose and/or rags. I’m not a fan of spraying water on modern engine bays so I’ll typically use rags/towels. Honestly, you can make something look 100 percent better in about 10 minutes.
yea cause i took this week off work lol and sitting here drives me nuts, so ima get up and detail my cars this week:)
purple power dont affect alum , i use it on my welds and nuttin happened no staining at all
ive never used either:( lol
I always thought this was kool, i never tryed it but it looks like it worked… http://www.d-series.org/forums/diy-forum/149991-d-i-y-detail-your-engine-bay-wd-40-91-civic-si.html
Just another idea!!
wd40 stinks horribly when the motor gets hot again , that and purp power or simple green is way cheaper than wd40
I did not know that thanks for the info.
im tore bettween the purp and green now… wait sounds like im gonna get drugs? lol jkjk but really i gotta pick now, im not a good desion maker
both will work , some prefer one others prefer the other lol. purp power is cheaper i think a gallon is like 10 bucks or suttin lol
always for saving ill go with purp for now, and later on ill try the green, see which best suites me:)
