the clutch i had purchased previously from euro drive was good for a bit but went out on me way too early. my brother has had a bad experience with them as well, clutch gave out early. but then again we’ve purchased clutch kits for other cars and done those which seemed to be ok. there rebuilds are still ride able but some may not last as long as others, depends on how bad the clutch was beat on previously before the rebuild.
Yea I dont know about you but when I sent in my stock SR unit all they did was re-build/modify the pressure plate, the disk I got back was brand spanking new and not rebuilt or what not. So how the previous condition of the clutch would effect the rebuilt pressure plate is beyond me or maybe I’m missing something?
And most early clutch failures are due to improper break in’s or even improper pedal setup at times.
Myself… I’ve been running a euro-drive unit now since 05 without a single issue and love the friggin thing.
id stay away , there stuff used to be really good , but now its kinda gone downhill , the last 6-7 clutches we used from them before we opted to use others , failed terribly, like springs popping out everywhere , shit felling apart … and they are at the same price point as buly , which in my honest oppinion is a much better product. exedy makes a great product as does ACT
jedi_car_fan , i agree that most clutch failures are due to bad break in’s and improper pedal set up, but as i was saying, there have been clutch kits purchased previously that have worked well, but recently a couple kits were purchased that have not worked as well as previous ones. there have been a lot more kits that worked as they should , but the recent ones have had some bad experiences. some kits were run for years without any problems, but recently two kits went out without warning ( one kit six months use and one kit a years use ) . im not trying to set a bad rep for euro drive at all, they are a good business , but in my opinion, recent clutch kit rebuilds have not lasted as long as they normally did.
I second that. Their business used to be good but QC has gone downhill. Not clutch related but I had some injectors flow tested there and they said they failed miserably, then rebuilt them. Turns out the ones they gave me back werent even for my motor and after some back and forth banter they finally found mine which they didnt even test.
