Its your favourite GTR girl here needing your advise. As most of you know, my clutch is toast. Slipping in every gear…even in reverse! My baby has been sitting pretty at the top of my driveway for a few weeks now only because, I have no idea what type and brand of clutch to get. I’m a label whore, but many have told me to steer away from labels.
-Nismo
-Ogura
-OS Giken
-Cusco
-Exedy
I don’t know if i really need a twinplate, I don’t even redline! I know I know, I should, but I have no balls Although, I want to drive my car before i put him away so I’ll need one soon. Any suggestions?
Clutch Rider? Or you have the same problem as Alex with the throwout bearing?
I believe Alex has OS Giken twin or triple plate and based on our conversations today it seems to be an excellent purchase on his part.
On the other hand, I have a cheap Stage 3 ebay 6puck clutch and it’s held up surprisingly well for 20000KM of hard HARD driving. (“F1 Racing” is the brand)
Don’t forget to replace the Clutch Throw Out Bearing.
My buddy has that clutch. So far, haven’t heard of any problems.

IMO, since you are a brand whore like myself. I would go with Nismo. I’ve heard many good things about their products. Exedy is apparently really good. Again, I don’t have any on hand experience with different clutches yet, but just my two cents.
i’m running a nismo twinplate and it is one of the best clutches i’ve ever had. It’s totally worth the 2200 bucks. very streetable and lots of room to upgrade. just my .02
I’ve got an ORC clutch at my shop for sale… save $500
F.S.: ORC 559D Twin Plate Clutch BNR32, HCR32
I have a very slightly used ORC 559D twin plate clutch for sale.
This clutch has only travelled 800km!!
The 559D is ORCs easiest-to-drive twin plate clutch. It is rated to handle 550hp and still maintain street driveability. Perfect for street cars that need high performance on the weekend for the track.
This clutch has 800kms on it, includes everything you see in the pictures, and I will throw in a brand new release bearing as well.
This clutch corresponds with BNR32, HCR32, BCNR33, ER34, ECR33, C33 and A31 models. Please be aware that this is a push system clutch, so post 1993 models will require a push conversion which we can also provide.
i just recently replaced my clutch and i went with the exedy twin disc i really like it cuz it just grabs and goes lol and i have no complaints it did great for me at the track…iwent with twin cuz im looking for bigggg horespower
