Check engine light was on so I got the codes checked.
One is nice and simple and o2 sensor, go figure.
The other one confused me a little bit on how to solve the problem.
It came up with something along the lines of “Manufacturer speed sensor, Idle speed sensor”
p1582 is the code for it.
Now I put a cam in it and never did much to fix the idle on it, would this be causing it?
If so, how would I fix it? I was going to chip it specifically for the cam and such but if that’s just going to add to the problem I don’t want to.
thats the idle adaption limit. throttle body and “idle air” valve are all one unit. when it gets bad, car wont want to idle, or if you have it idling and you turn a/c on–car will stall.
try to carb clean your throttle body. if that dont work, but a used one for 150 ish or less. has to be a tb off the same type of car. i.e.–a 94 wont work on yours. there is differences even between auto and stick car tb’s, as well as between years–like a 97 to a 98 etc. so make sure you get the right one.
