Coilover

Hey there,

I have two front coilovers, but no back ones…

Do you think it is worth while to put them on the car anyway  or would it totally disrupt my car’s drivability?

Terminal understeer?

Well, it depends on the spring rates on the coilovers, but yes it will mess up the balance of your car.

Don’t mean to higjack the thread but I have been looking into Coilovers
vs. Springs for a while.

My impression is for a daily driver with occasional track time, coilovers
are not worth it cuz of their harsh rides, and that I’m better off with
progressive rate springs.

Anwho was talking to my buddy and claims he can hook me up with a set
of Tein SS (although I’d go with something like HE) for maybe around
$1300CDN flat.

Would you go with coilovers over springs had you been given this deal,
and that your car was daily driven?

Just curious…

if you lower your car, you shocks will wear out very quickly anyway. If you can get coilover for $1300, that’s not much more than getting spring and shocks together.

Gonad you should set up a group buy on the Super Street Coilovers if you can get them for $1300CAD.

Do they include the upper pillow ball mount?

Can you get any deals on the Type HE Damper?

I don’t think they make HE anymore.

WHA!!! AHHH NOOOO!!!

I WANT HE!!! AHHH!!

FLT-A2 0wn5 j00!

$$$!

Iquabob arent you goin with the EDFC Unit though from TEIN?

HE used to be the cheapest model for Tein and its not damper adjustable. What so good about it?

i think im getting flt-a2
tein flex are pretty soft

Did anyone read about the new Praxis air suspension in the new SCC or Turbo? Pretty interesting stuff… but for the compromises you have to make in alignment settings, I think id rather just go with the stiff springs on the street.

as for the actual topic why not find out what kind of coilovers they are and order rears?

Thank you.

It’s about time this thread got back onto topic.

They’re Tein HR’s with pillowball mounts and camber plate.

Do they still make HR’s?

And if so, most places only sell them in a set of 4 right?

If not, does anyone here know where I can order just 2?

HE is adjustable 16 way, and twin height adjust, and its not the cheapest, HA has been the cheapest, u dont know what ur talking about. At all.

you can order replacements directly from tein… what do you think they do when a coilover is defective?

isn’t HR the cheapest?

Sorry, I got mixed up with the HR and HE.
