Whose terms? The credit card company? I highly doubt they will ever know or care.
I don’t know. LZ said it when I said it would suck to have your phone die and render it inoperable.

I would shred my physical cards once coin’ed to be secure, wouldn’t you?
It already is transitioning to the US, we’ve been manufacturing more and more of them lately although these are more of a transition card which uses both methods.
Or just leave them at home.
The threat is much larger of a vendor getting hacked or some malware then actually losing a card and someone using it before I cancel and even then I could dispute the charges
I should have added a to reveal my sarcasm.
That’s changing pretty quickly
Agreed. Cool but way to expensive since this will be on cell phones in the next year.

Its finally shipping beta…
Just in time for all cards to be chip and pin and this worthless
Vaporware, the stuff tech legends are made of.
^I just saw chip and pin somewhere here.
I meant coin and many of the kickstarter type things. There will always be risk involved as an early adopter of course.
I actually looked up Coin a few weeks ago because it crossed my mind that it must have been out already… and it wasn’t.
What’s “Chip & Pin?”
Ah, I thought you were referring to another Coin alternative.
I actually had a card with a chip on it like that in 2001. It came with a USB reader so you could make purchases online by putting in the chip side of the card into the reader. After some time though I received a notice from Visa that they were no longer going to be using the chip system and the card would need to be swiped like normal. I think I still have the reader somewhere @LZ1 if you want to do hacker stuff with it, lol.
Another alternative, seems a bit better: https://www.plastc.com/card
yea another product that isn’t even out yet…
I’m also really curious how the chip and pin part works
Yeah I know, vaporware…
This one is actually flexible. I think I’d prefer a solid metal card actually.
i would rather carry a few cards around instead of paying over $100 to save a few millimeters of pocket space
