Cold Air Affecting MAF?

Got a cold air intake on a ka24de. It goes filter straight to maf, pipeing then all the rubber hoses/lines that go into the stock air intake tube (3 of them) are tee’d and go into the rubber connector that is before the throttle body. The car will start if I give it gas, if I give it no gas it dies. If I give it lots of gas it hits a rev limiter at 2500rpm. Is this the MAF? Is there a way to test the MAF to see if its working? Any sugestions?

Before you freak out and replace stuff, you may just have a leak somewhere, couplers/hoses

Sounds like MAF symptons, maybe a loose connection/ pinched wire while installing the intake. check codes on your ECU to help pin point.

yea sounds like the ecu went into limp mode, if your not making it past 2500, 3000rpm. Do what GetARide said and also check for corrosion in the plug.
