One Comcast subcontractor ran four lines throughout my house, hooked up the cable modem, the digital cable, and attempted to program the remote to my ten year old Daewoo TV (no luck), all in under FIFTY minutes. Everything works perfectly.
I heart Comcast.

yeah… i got a really good deal too… digital cable (everything but Cinemax) and cable internet for $72.95 monthly for the first year.
i mean running lines isn’t difficult… if it’s from the pole to your house then whatever… but why do you need someone to setup your cable modem and digital box… and to program your remote

i CAN do it, but i didn’t HAVE to.
and running lines in my place is a little bit of a bitch… it wasn’t wired previously, so he had to do some drilling, AND i have no basement or second floor, so everything had to be done through the attic.
there are other cable companies, but their territories don’t overlap.
thats sux too. i used to have comcast, now i have adelphia and the prices are worse for the same service.
PS, comcast customer service is the pits, worse than adelphia. so just hope your bill is right every month otherwise be prepared to lose hair arguing with CS dumbasses.

eh… comcast is my ISP so i usually get a package deal.
i’ve never even looked into a dish.

i just hate pricing & picture quality of digital cable…compared to dish
my ex worked for AT&T in Pittsburgh and did cable stuff, i think they merged with Aldephia or something?

AT&T sold their cable division to Comcast.
Comcast recently bought Adelphia.
Adelphia customers will become Comcast customers.

The Daewoo TV I’ve had since high school makes picture quality irrelevant…lol.
