Are all these designs bird friendly?
Common Turn-friendly
They are waiting to see if the world is really going to end in 2012, after that if we’re all still alive, there will be progress towards a new bridge.
I like the arch design the best, not like anyone of them will get built. It does not surprise me one bit that there are already lawsuits being drawn up, Nothing fucking changes in this stupid City, and it’s the same assholes every time that keep this city from any progress.
If it took them this long to approve the designs, how long will it take them to choose one let alone start building one?
I don’t really mind this because cities have a history of doing absolutely fucking nothing with the properties they take down. Ever been to Detroit?
Well Buffalo has a history of doing absolutely nothing in spite of it’s useless properties. After a cursory Google search, I found the properties mentioned are a boarded-up nondescript chapel and an old boarded-up brick house.
Yes, they have potential and local historical significance, but the old saying applies here: “What have you done for me lately?”
I would rather see a new bridge and commercial development than perpetuate the existence of unused property in the ghetto.
But ain’t nobody doin’ that 2 da ghetto.

Mean while the Chinese are actually getting busy…
it’s comming right after bas pro
lol at all of this…I saw on the news that “if everything goes on without delays, the new bridge would see traffic in 2017.” I’m not holding my breath
Tear the fucking “history” down so we can make our own damned history!
make a tunnel, and to get around all of these people bitching about it being build. don’t tell anyone you are building it until it is finished. It will keep the birds safe too.
for anyone who misunderstood me. I dont give a shit about the history of buffalo, I just think the designs are ugly and look like they belong in florida.
How about we take the original, duplicate it for 1/10th the cost, and have it done in a year instead of a 20 year cluster fuck. Its a god dam bridge, not a fashion statement.
Based on the “quality” of the Chinese crap we see here I think I’d pass on driving on their 31 mile long bridge and underwater tunnel.
