final cut is amazing for movie editing
serial box is also a good program

little program that detects if you are connected to power, and if you are when you close the lid on the laptop it says awake instead of going to standby. pull the power cable off and close the lid and it sleeps like normal.
is insomniac a free online download or is it something to buy from the store?
why would you want your laptop not to sleep on close?
probably for a faster start when it’s plugged in.
because I’m at home downloading something and want to walk away or go to sleep without fear of damage from kitten attack or other damages. Also when I have it plugged into the plasma not using front row and I have no need to it to be open.
boot time is instant regardless of plugged in or not.
damn, thats one intense cat. I guess I never really used my laptop for any of that stuff. I like that it sleeps when I close it. I’m always moving around from class to library to work with mine, so its a nice way to save the battery and make it last the full day.
