how much does it roughly cost for a car deck install?
i got mine installed for free cuz i bought it of Future shop but i still had to buy the harness and all the additional parts to install it for 70 Dollars
so i can just go to futureshop or bestbuy and buy a harness? w/o the install?!?!
you can go to futureshop and get the parts and install it yourself. BB and Futureshop charge $50 to install and you are lookin $30 for the dash kit, $20 for the harness.
Free. Do it yourself. Really ezz

what car you doing the install in??
all you need is the harness, and screw driver, soldering gun, heat shrink
basically u can just twist tie the wires if you don’t have the soldering gun.
better off with crimps and a soldering gun/iron and a little heat shrink
all this stuff is cheap
get the bezel and harness and the wiring is a snap…“yellow to green” etc.
just follow the directions…usually its like…
1 pair of blue for front left (black stripes for negative)
1 pair of green for front right (black stripes for negative)
red for power when key on
yellow for preset memory
black for ground etc etc etc etc…
soldering the crimps on rather than crimping is best, crimping is fine tho…
after crimping the connectors and pushing them together wrap in electrical tape…dont stretch it…just enough to cover all/any exposed metal.

installed the bad boy… but at a cost… snapped a little bit of my radio trim as i was tugging the unit out…
anyways all in all looks like a clean install but i’m just upset that the trim is cracked, need to get a new s14 radio trim.
