This shit is exactly why I sold my '88 with TPI and am now running a carb.
FI is great when it’s running right, but it’s too much of a pain in the ass to troubleshoot when something’s wrong. :ugh:

Bad CAT, maybe? Sound like the right symptoms are there.
haha no the cat is non existant anymore, and i deleted teh AIR system too
cap rotor and ignition coil is in… so far so good car runs abit better it seems…but its hard to tell yet. need to run it hard more to know for sure and now that its cooler out, its harder to make a good comparision. took it to 5000rpms in third gear today and felt as strong as it could be
old cap was corroded pretty good so i had to be having alittle spark issue.
more MPH now ?
hopefully i get my mph back that i was looosing lol
