I plugged my zune into my headunit the other day through the aux ports in the back… For some reason its only playing out of the front two speakers… Anyone know what I could do to fix this?
- The cable is bad
- The Aux jack in the head unit is bad
what head unit is it?
Make sure its plugged in all the way
its a pioneer headunit not sure which model… its only about a year old, it has a blue display that plays video so its not a cheap one… the cable i just bought so i dont think it would be that and i know they are plugged in all the way because they are hard as shit to unplug… its annoying though… it might be time for a new headunit anyways
Usually on Pioneer head units, the pre-outs in the back, say there are two sets, will designate front preout and rear preout. if you plug into them it will just kinda play interference. Those are used for output to front/rear amps.
The best way to work with a Pioneer deck is using the IP Bus.
hmmm… that’s terriffic if talking about the pre-outs. issue here is with the aux input which i assume is a “headphone” jack on the rear of the headunit. try the cable first then do the unit
its not a headphone jack in the back… i have 4 aux ports in the back and two are for my subs… :wtf: i just want it to play out all my speakers… thats all haha
Most high end pioneers have 4 rca’s, 1front out, 1rear out, 1sub out, and 1 aux input. The input is for right and left not front and back. Assuming you checked the balance and fadar and make sure all your speakers are in the right position on the radio.
If that is all correct you may have an aux input problem
if i use the fader and put it all the way to the rear… the music still plays only in the front
my jvc does the same thing, your using the aux in cable with a 2.5mm jack right? or did you get the cable thats proprietary to your decks manufacturer
im assuming its a 2.5mm jack… the one end plugs into where the headphones plug into on the mp3 player… and then the other end has two aux plugs
