i installed my new kenwood headunit and it works great. however i use my sirius one unit in fm transmitt mode sounds great i switch it over to the aux snd connect it to the radio and i only get sound out of my left side speakers??? what’s up with that?
what kind of cable are you using? is it an 1/8" to rca converter? if so look at the “headphone jack” part of the cable and see if there is only one black line. that would do it. you’ll need a cable with 2 lines on it for left and right. also try switching the red and white rca ends behind the radio …white into red and red into white… see if it then only plays on the right side. could be the input on the radio. output on the sat. radio, bad cables…
^^^ Agreed ^^^^
Ive had right out of the package headphone to RCA, Monster cable brand jacks with only one side working properly.
try pushing the jack in and out a few times aswell, and spin it around a few times in the hole, see if it starts to work again
I had one sirius unit that did the same thing untill i pushed it in real hard.
well the problem has been found, i plugged my ipod in using the same cable, got crystal clear sound all the way around, so sirius unit is broken. called sirius and they gave me 2 options. send it back and get a new one in 7-10 days with me paying for shipping OR get a new one free and just pay for a 6 month subscription up front. took option #2 and i’ll pay $40 when i get it in 2 days. thanks
If it has only the one line, you can kinda pull it out a little bit and it may come out both sides, but I think it would be Mono. I had this problem with some computer speakers once and a crossover cable I was using.
