All this outbreak proves is that cities should now be considered unsafe year round.
For the safety of the planet, nobody should live in a densely populated area. Even if it only saves one life, isn’t it worth it?

secondhand market is overflowing with cheap, interesting cars and you just got $1200. That doesn’t sound like much ($1200 is basically one adult dollar), but it’s enough to put a (ratchet, high mileage) racer in your (soon to be oil-stained) driveway. Pulls her out and executes her point blank. Takes her Smith, mags and her car. Burns his car. Ert shows up and drags her back. Leave her with gd. That’s the video that was out there. Shoots Chad Morrison at some point. Current status is he’s alive to the best of ERT’s knowledge. Burns heidi’s car and gets in to another vehicule. Civilian reports it. Rat actually pulls up while guys are getting gas at one station and leaves. They don’t put it together until later. The description and photos they had didn’t match him at that point. Rat goes to another gas station and is filling up. Pds and ERT members show up. Pds ID’s him. They challenge him. He has smith out. Eats 10ish rounds. 10 plus people dead maybe more. That is pretty awful and will give a lot of people something non-covid related to complain about from both sides of the boarder. I expect a lot of US outrage on Canada’s behalf.
I’m pretty sure people pull the impersonating an officer in the US, but with nowhere near the commitment to evil doing.
Stress is a killer, and if he had lost it all just prior to the lock down, it would take surprisingly little to push someone over the edge. I bet it was a facebook post.
New business Idea.
Use glut of oil to Ramp up production of the “more sanitary” plastic bags for stores and some thin plastic body condoms that are as one time use as plastic bags.
Then a side hustle for oil burning boats and ships to scour waterways to reclaim all the plastic and save a turtle or two.
The problem with these hacks is how do you prove they’re real? WikiLeaks was effectively taken out by the media as a trusted source. And without disclosing sources & methods, what weight do they really have other than to reinforce confirmation bias?
There’s a drive up COVID screening right now on Maple at the golf course. The signs say by appointment only and Erie County sheriffs are there checking people in.
Hopefully we see some real randomized screening start happening soon. That I know of there have only been two places in the US that have done random screenings of anyone who wanted the test, asymptomatic people included. In LA they found 4.1% infected but in MA they found about 33%. It’s tough to draw conclusion from two limited tests other than we need a lot more of these kinds of tests.
Finding these people who are or were infected but haven’t had any symptoms or complications is critical to having good data to make decisions about continued isolation policies. If it turns out 30+% already have it (like what was found in one of the randomized test I mentioned) it invalidates any of the statistics about death rate we have to far. Most reasonable people have argued from the start that limiting testing to severe cases and people in high risk jobs like healthcare was going skew the data.
